Maryan Lowery, Esq.
Maryan Lowery is an attorney whose practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense. She represents individuals, businesses, and insurers in a wide range of matters involving personal injury, premises liability, habitability, and other complex liability disputes. Ms. Lowery is committed to providing exceptional client service while vigorously protecting her clients’ interests. She draws upon her background in dispute resolution to develop practical, strategic solutions that promote the efficient and effective resolution of disputes whenever possible.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Lowery gained valuable courtroom and judicial experience that continues to shape her approach to advocacy. As a Post-Bar Certified Law Clerk with the San Diego Defender’s Office, she participated in all phases of criminal litigation and served as second chair. She also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John A. Houston of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, where she conducted legal research, analyzed complex legal issues, and drafted judicial orders.
Ms. Lowery earned her Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, completing the program one year ahead of schedule. During law school, she held several leadership positions, including President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society, Vice President of the Criminal Law Society, and Vice President of the CLIMB Mentorship Program. She also competed on the Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution teams, further developing the advocacy and negotiation skills that continue to serve her clients.
Committed to continued professional growth, Ms. Lowery is pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Her graduate studies complement her litigation practice by expanding her knowledge of negotiation and mediation.
Outside of the office, Ms. Lowery enjoys cooking, and traveling. She also is passionate about mentoring young women through her Legal Barrbie Mentorship Program, where she encourages aspiring legal professionals.
